What is Off The Ledger?

Off The Ledger was conceived in January 2020 as a personal blog focused on investment and wealth management for the medium and long term. Due to the great reception from my circle, the project went online in April 2020.

Little by little, the project has become more professional, positioning itself as an online reference in various areas such as crypto analysis and investment, taxation, stocks, and ETFs, among other topics. It also covers traditional markets and current news.

What started as a blog aiming to achieve greater stability and quality of life through the best investment projects has evolved to become one of the best blogs on investment in Spanish.

But really... Who am I?

I’m Jota, already past my thirties. I’m an engineer in mechanical industrial engineering with extensive knowledge of financial economics.

I professionally work in the development of medical instruments for a pharmaceutical company, and I also manage other personal projects, such as this community (probably the thing that fills me the most out of everything I do), a business venture, and other extra sources of income.

As you might have guessed, I am NOT a financial advisor but rather a user and investor who has fought in the trenches (just like you, probably).

So, what you'll find here in this Substack is the result of technical knowledge about the investment world and everything surrounding it.

I talk about projects to track, operations, portfolio updates, and some opinions on interesting financial products.
